"Rocky is more than just a gifted story teller and executive coach. He has the ability to inspire people into action towards self-improvement and change. The Creative Mornings community was lucky enough to experience his best advice - finding our truest selves and putting that forward. He truly is a people expert."

Megan Tom - Creative Mornings Dallas Director

Let's face it, being able to not only identify what makes us unique but also knowing how to practically implement that is really hard. Everyday we are pressured to live out our most authentic self while simultaneously fighting the desire to create a persona or perception of what we want others to think. Breaking down, defining and rebuilding identity for the purpose of growth, development and leadership; this is my specialty. I want to help you and your audience understand what it means to be HUMAN.

2017 Speaking Topics

"What Makes Us Human: It Starts With What's Inside"

Mom, dad, creative, entrepreneur, owner, friend, sister, partner, leader, dreamer...These are some of the ROLES that we participate in every day...but they are NOT our identity. When we take on each role and try to chameleon our way through life, we jeopardize the very thing that makes us unique. I want us to take back WHO we are before we talk about WHAT we do. If we can live into each role with a singular identity, not changing for every situation then we find the freedom that comes with understanding we are completely unique.  We we wildly unique and totally regular all at the same time.
(120 minute minimum required | participation: High | leadership, management, goals, vision, career, conflict)

"Vulnerability & Empathy: Seeing and Understanding Others"

Many of us think the same practices work for everyone when it comes to building relationships and intimacy. Define the goal, cast the vision and they will follow. Unfortunately this is not the case. You can't lead people who you can't hear and in order to really listen you have to create an environment of both VULNERABILITY & EMPATHY. Vulnerability: creating the opportunity to see and be seen by others. Empathy: creating the opportunity to understand and be understood by others. Seeing someone for WHO they are and understanding how someone FEELS is the only way to really know where they want to go.
(90 minute minimum required | participation: Moderate | sales, management, team dynamic, culture growth, leadership)

2017 Workshop Topics

"CORE Values: Starting with What Matters Most"

We define CORE Values as the WHY you do what you do.  In all instances and in every role we play, we have a reason, intention and motivation. By identitfying our CORE Values we can bring a language and vernacular to our daily life that most of us miss. We tend to get caught up in the WHAT we do way before we have the conversation around WHY we do it. If we don't start with teh WHY then we have missed the entire boat. They give way to how we lead, we set goals, we make decisions and communicate our own value to others. It is a must have!
(90-120 minute minimum required | participation: High | group size: unlimited)

"Identity Mapping: Creating the Clearest Picture of our Identity"

This is our signiture process created specifically to walk you through building the clearest picture of your identity you have ever had. Yes, that is a bold statement but we stand by our promise to you. After our session we guarantee for you to know WHY you do what you, HOW you do it and WHAT you do as a human being in all areas of your life. Once identified we will then create our natural next steps to put our new plan into action. It is time we stop guessing about who we are and start to live actively. It is time to take control of our life and stop letting other tell us who we are.
(4 hour minimum required | participation: High | group size: 2-15 or 16 - up)

If you don’t define your purpose, someone else will define it for you.
